duo capRiccio

Duo capRiccio is a crossover esteem duo founded in 2013. The members are violinist and composer Stefano Zeni and guitarist Antonio D'Alessandro, both of whom are accomplished and experienced musicians.
Stefano and Antonio’s concert performances are unconventional, putting a different spin on the standard violin-guitar duet. The Duo capRiccio give a contemporary twist to classic compositions suffusing them with new heart, soul and interplay.
The set list that Stefano and Antonio have put together for their concerts is a direct development of their shared recording experience.
Chitarra (2010, diffusione arte) is the debut solo studio album by Antonio D'Alessandro and contains compositions by Spanish composers Francisco Tarrega, Enrique Granados and Federico Moreno-Torroba.
Passaggi Circolari (2011, yvp music - Germany) is the debut album as a leader by Stefano Zeni and contains 11 of his own compositions.
In 2013, the Duo capRiccio released their live album titled “La Muerte del Àngel” containing both audio and video tracks.
The concert play list contains classic compositions by Astor Piazzolla, Tom Jobim, Dilermando Reis, Ariel Ramírez as well as contemporary compositions by Giorgio Signorile, Vito Nicola Paradiso, Maurizio Colonna, Isaia Mori and Stefano Zeni, all of which are rearranged so as to have that personal touch for which the Duo capriccio are known.
